Our Current Offerings:
WildWalker Outdoor School
Ages 5–10
Monday–Wednesday
8:30-9:00 drop-off | 9:00-2:00pm
This offering is a homeschool- style approach to learning-- but together, and with multigenerational mentors and teachers. Our intention is to keep it simple and small to start while working towards developing the greater vision as we go.
The three pillars of this offering
Play - This is our most important model. We have observed that children learn and create beyond our wildest imagination when given the space and trust, within limits, to play freely.
Skill - This is where we learn a project or skill-- anything from gardening, homesteading, ancestral, wilderness, and/or creative projects that develop cognitive, creative, and physical abilities.
Responsibility - Each child will have tasks that they are responsible for -- gathering eggs, preparing a snack, etc. This is about developing care for each other through small tasks each day that support one another.
Dennis is our leading educator. He has been working at Heartsong Living Arts School for the last year. We met at Headwater's Outdoor School many years ago. You can check out their programming here: https://www.hwos.com/ -- this is the foundation of a lot of what our larger vision entails. He has worked there for a number of summers and also attended Prescott College, majoring in Adventure Education. I will come in as needed to support and bring creative mentorship, storytelling, song, and wisdom. and song.
This offering will take place on my family's land in BZ Corner. It is 12 acres along the White Salmon River with an outdoor kitchen and lots of places to roam and play.
Here are the details of dates and pricing:
Fall Semester: September 21- December 3rd (break the week of Thanksgiving-- please note that the cost of the offering includes this week). Depending on who joins and what the families’ needs are, we may take a winter break and begin in the Spring. This is open to collaborative thoughts on what is supportive.
This offering is in service of what the community needs. We are excited to bring it to life!
Days of the Week: Tuesday- Thursday
Time: 8:30-9:00 drop-off - 2 pm pickup (aftercare options potentially available if interested)
Cost: 1,650$ for the semester | pay in two installments: September 1st & October 20th (payment plans available if needed). This is a 10$ hourly rate. We also have a daily rate of 55$ and can calculate a one-day or two-day-a-week option if desired.

Our Land
A Living Classroom Along the White Salmon River
WildWalker Village is rooted in a 12-acre piece of land along the White Salmon River that our family has been lovingly tending for the past six years.
From the beginning, this place has been imagined as more than a property. It is a gathering place—a place for children, families, and community to come together in relationship with the land and one another.
Over the years, we have slowly built spaces that invite connection in every season:
A cozy yurt with a woodstove where we gather during the colder months for stories, warmth, making, and shared meals.
Outdoor kitchens and gathering spaces where food is prepared, skills are shared, and community is created around the rhythms of the seasons.
A beautiful garden that has been tended by many hands, where children and adults alike learn about growing food, caring for the soil, and the gifts of working together.
Trails, forests, fields, and wild spaces that invite exploration, adventure, imagination, and quiet moments of connection.
This land has already been shaped by years of gatherings, celebrations, workshops, and community care. WildWalker grows from that foundation.
We believe children learn deeply when they have a place to belong—a place where they can return again and again, notice the changing seasons, develop relationships with the more-than-human world, and understand themselves as part of a larger ecosystem.
This land is our first teacher.
